Terms of Service
Last updated: July 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using BIDS at bids.freedomproject.ai or any related services offered by The Freedom Project, LLC (“The Freedom Project”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using BIDS or its services.
BIDS is a product of The Freedom Project, LLC. Where these terms do not address a topic specifically, the general company terms at freedomproject.ai/terms-of-service apply to the extent they are not superseded by this document.
2. BIDS Services
BIDS (Business Intelligence and Discovery System) is a web application that aggregates publicly available federal, state, and local contract and grant opportunities, matches them to your business profile, and delivers notifications and summaries at your chosen frequency.
BIDS may offer free and paid subscription tiers. Feature availability, source coverage, notification limits, and other capabilities may vary by tier. Current plan details are displayed within the application at the time you subscribe or upgrade.
3. Modifications to Services
The Freedom Project reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate BIDS or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of BIDS after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
4. No Guarantee of Results or Awards
Use of BIDS does not guarantee specific business results, revenue increases, contract awards, grant awards, or any other outcome. Results vary based on individual business circumstances, market conditions, agency requirements, and other factors outside our control.
BIDS surfaces opportunities that may match your profile. Matching is automated and informational only. You are solely responsible for determining eligibility, preparing submissions, and meeting all deadlines and requirements of the issuing agency.
5. Prohibited Use
You agree not to misuse BIDS. The following are prohibited:
- Unauthorized reproduction, scraping, or resale of BIDS content or data
- Programmatic access outside of any APIs or features we explicitly provide
- Using BIDS for any unlawful purpose
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of BIDS or its systems
- Transmitting malicious code or interfering with platform functionality
- Sharing account credentials or reselling access without authorization
6. Account Security & Authentication
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. BIDS uses Supabase Auth and supports sign-in via Google, Microsoft, or one-time email magic links — we never receive or store your provider password.
BIDS supports optional two-factor authentication (TOTP) through a standard authenticator app. If you choose to enable two-factor authentication, you are responsible for safeguarding your authenticator device and any backup or recovery information you generate during enrollment. We strongly recommend keeping a copy of your enrollment QR code or manual-entry key in a secure location — if you lose access to your authenticator and have no backup, we may not be able to restore access to your account, and account recovery may require identity re-verification or, in some cases, account closure.
Notify us at [email protected] promptly if you suspect your account has been accessed without authorization or that your authenticator has been compromised.
7. Intellectual Property
All BIDS content — including text, graphics, logos, software, match scores, summaries, and interface design — is the property of The Freedom Project, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission, except as permitted by your subscription tier and normal use of the service.
8. Subscriptions, Payments & Refunds
Paid BIDS subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid tier, you authorize recurring charges at the rate and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. The Freedom Project does not store your full credit card or payment credentials; payment data is handled by Stripe under their security standards.
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future billing; access to paid features typically continues through the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis unless a specific promotional offer states otherwise. Billing questions should be directed to [email protected].
We may change subscription pricing or tier features. Material price increases for existing subscribers will be communicated in advance where required by law or by Stripe billing policies.
9. Free Tier
BIDS may offer a free tier with limited features. We reserve the right to modify free tier availability, limits, or features at any time. Transitioning from free to paid tiers, or changing between paid tiers, is subject to the pricing and terms displayed in the application at the time of change.
10. Data Storage and Profile Learning
By using BIDS, you authorize The Freedom Project, LLC to store your business profile data, application field inputs, and opportunity interaction history for the purpose of improving match quality and enabling pre-fill functionality on future applications. You retain full ownership of your data and may request its deletion at any time, subject to the retention exceptions noted in the Privacy Policy.
11. BIDS Vault (Password Manager)
BIDS Vault is an optional feature that stores login credentials you create or that BIDS generates for third-party procurement portals, and retrieves them for your use — primarily via the BIDS Agent browser extension. Guided Portal Sessions previously used Vault in a similar way; that feature is not currently offered. BIDS Vault is strictly opt-in: it stores only credentials you explicitly save or ask BIDS to generate.
Two-factor authentication is mandatory. You may not enable or access BIDS Vault unless your account has an active authenticator app (TOTP) factor. Accessing vault credentials always requires a fresh two-factor confirmation from your authenticator app; email one-time codes are not accepted for vault access. If you remove your authenticator, your vault is locked until you re-enroll.
Your responsibilities. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your BIDS account and authenticator device; for complying with each portal’s own terms of use, including any terms governing credential management; and for reviewing and completing any portal registration or submission yourself. In the current release, BIDS Vault stores credentials and lets you copy them into the portal yourself — it does not submit or act on a portal on your behalf beyond the actions you initiate and approve.
Custody and limits. Credentials are encrypted at rest as described on our Security page. You can view which portals have stored credentials, delete any credential at any time, and delete all vault data by deleting your account. We may suspend or discontinue BIDS Vault with reasonable notice; upon discontinuation we will provide a window to export stored credential metadata. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Freedom Project, LLC is not liable for a portal’s rejection of a credential, portal-side account lockouts, or actions taken on a portal using credentials that were compromised through no fault of The Freedom Project, LLC (including compromise of your device, email, or authenticator).
12. Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your BIDS account at any time from Profile → Account Security → Delete my account. Because this action is irreversible, BIDS requires you to complete step-up identity verification (a two-factor authentication challenge, or a one-time code emailed to your account address if two-factor authentication is not enabled) and to confirm twice — first by acknowledging the consequences below, then by typing a confirmation phrase — before any data is removed.
What happens immediately. Your profile, business details, compliance data (EIN/UEI/CAGE, certifications, NAICS codes), saved matches, and account preferences are removed, and your access to BIDS is revoked immediately — you are signed out and cannot sign back in. Deletion requests are logged for compliance purposes.
What is retained. As described in the Privacy Policy, audit-log records of actions you authorized (portal fill sessions, any historical Guided Session records, and any historical package receipts) are retained permanently as a legal record, even after your account is deleted. Anonymized, de-identified interaction data may also be retained for aggregate analytics.
Subscriptions. If you have an active paid subscription when you delete your account, your subscription is set to not renew — you will not be charged again, and no refund or credit is issued for the remainder of your current billing period. This is consistent with the cancellation terms in Section 8 above: because you are voluntarily terminating your own access before the period ends, the remaining period is treated the same as any other mid-cycle cancellation. Your access to paid features ends immediately upon deletion regardless of your subscription's billing end date — deleting your account and cancelling a subscription are handled independently, and deletion always takes priority.
13. Acceptable Use of Pre-Fill and Stored Data
You agree not to enter false, misleading, or fraudulent information into BIDS application fields. Stored application data used for pre-fill is drawn from content you have previously entered and confirmed. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of pre-filled content before signing and submitting any application.
14. Subscription Tiers and Pricing
BIDS is offered under the following tiers:
- Free. Find and match federal contract and grant opportunities, build your business profile, and receive a weekly or monthly email digest. Always free.
- Intelligence ($5/month or $50/year). Everything in Free, plus same-day alerts, early signals on upcoming funding, recompete radar, state & local opportunities across almost all 50 states, contracting officer contacts (name & title), form auto-fill, and tools to track your contract history and store proposal documents.
- Agent ($19/month or $190/year). Everything in Intelligence, plus Opportunity Briefs, outreach drafts, agency outreach emails, full contact details (email & phone), the BIDS Agent browser extension, and a permanent append-only audit log of Agent-tier actions you authorize. Designed for businesses actively pursuing proposals.
The Freedom Project, LLC reserves the right to introduce additional subscription tiers or modify existing tier features in the future. Any material changes to pricing or features for existing subscribers will be communicated in advance and will not take effect until the next billing cycle.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Freedom Project, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, BIDS, including missed deadlines, lost opportunities, or business decisions made based on information presented in the platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of The Freedom Project, LLC for all claims arising out of or relating to BIDS in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the amounts you actually paid to The Freedom Project, LLC for BIDS during that period (or fifty U.S. dollars, if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
BIDS and all related features, content, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. The Freedom Project, LLC does not warrant that BIDS will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against all possible threats, that data or notifications will be complete, accurate, or timely, or that any defect will be corrected. No advice or information obtained from BIDS or from The Freedom Project, LLC creates any warranty not expressly stated in these terms.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Freedom Project, LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of BIDS, including any information you submit to a government portal or other third party; (b) your violation of these terms or of any third party's rights, including a government portal's terms of use; or (c) inaccurate, incomplete, or fraudulent information you provide through BIDS. This obligation survives termination of your account.
18. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
